I’m starting a new recurring posting on Wednesdays called Washi Wednesday. Washi tape is a semi-transparent tape that is repositionable. You can easily tear off the length you want by hand. It has been popular in the paper-crafting market for several years and this year, Stampin’ Up! developed their own designs of washi tape prints to coordinate with our wonderful designer series papers. If you are like me, you like the washi tape but wonder what to do with it except to use it as just tape. On Washi Wednesdays I will share various ways to use this great product.
Today I have a card where I used the Gingham Garden Washi Tape (129314). I put down the yellow gingham tape, then the red tape, and finally the flowery tape. This gives the appearance of a woven pattern. Using the Washi tape is an easy way to make stripes on your card. If you have different ways to use your washi tape, send me an e-mail and I’ll share your idea here.
