Retiring Stamps

Every May, Stampin' Up! sends out a list of stamp sets that will no longer be carried in the catalog. The list this year is a little longer due to changes in the catalog and mini catalog program. Click on the link above to see and download the list. If you are like me, you have some stamp sets that you have wanted but havwn't ordered yet. Now is your last chance to get some of them. Beginning June 1st they won't be available so look over the list and check it twice. Then visit my online store to place your order.

Keep checking back as I will also be posting the retiring accessories list as soon as it comes out. When an accessories is retired, it is on a 'as supply lasts' basis so you will want to jump on ordering what you want as soon as the list comes out.

Welcome to My Digital Craft Corner here in SE Alaska. Our design team assignment over on Utah Divas International was to create using Always Artichoke, Lucky Limeade and Basic Black. I took the liberties of adding Whisper White to the color scheme. I started with the idea of having just one Labels Collection punch filled with Lucky Limeade. Then I remembered that two are better than one so I layered a smaller black one over the Lucky Limeade one. That reminded me of a cameo so I stamped the girl swinging in the tree from the Forever Young stamp brush set in Whisper White on the black label. The image is very large so you need to shrink it down a lot to make it fit. The Happy Birthday is from the Bring on the Cake stamp brush set and I typed the bottom greeting using Segoe Script 20 pt. I have seen a couple of cards on the internet using the Lattice Bigz die to make a lovely cross. I used this idea for my Easter card this year. I didn't get Christmas cards mailed out this past Christmas so planned on sending this card to our friends and relatives at Easter. This plan also has been waylaid as this is the onlycard I have finished and Easter is tomorrow. Hmmm—July 4th cards maybe??? Anyway, I had a lot of gratification in making this card. I hope you enjoy it. More importantly, I pray that you will rejoice with me in the risen Christ.

I have had this picture of our grandson and his new baby daughter for a while and have wanted to make a scrapbook page for it. I choose this striped designer series paper from the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series paper for the background of this page to coordinate with baby Katherine's clothing. This weekend Stampin' Up! hosted a digital scrapbooking celebration on www.mydigitalstudio.net. Actually it continues through today and you can still get the FREE download if you haven't already done so. On October 4, they released two downloads for Christmas tags. I could have quickly used one of those templates for this tag but I wanted to create my own. I love the Perfect Label Punch, the Deck The Halls Designer Series Paper, and the Bells and Boughs Stamp Brush Set so used them for this tag. I just might have to print this out in multiple copies to use for my tags this year. I challenge you to create a digital tag and email it back to me. I will share them on this blog. I have not been a fan of the Christmas Jingle Designer Series Paper because it is too retro for my tastes. However, Dorothy's use of it in this card has made me reconsider my position.
