MDS Sale flyer

This is an extra special Tuesday because, not only do we get new digital downloads to buy including a FREE November desktop calendar, today begins a 30% OFF MDS sale of downloads and print products! Click on the image above to go check out the MDS sale and go here to check out today’s new downloads.

Here is a tip for you when viewing what digital kit downloads contain. Here is a screen shot of the Fall Memories November Kit (135910). November digital kit screen shot

See the little magnifying glass in the lower right corner of the index? When you click on that, a larger size of the index is opened. On the side of that larger image is a white arrow. When you click on the arrow, it shows another page. Keep clicking on the arrows to scroll through all the pages. For this particular kit, the stamp brushes are displayed on their own page, the embellishments on another, and each of the designs of the designer series papers are displayed individually. How great is that!!! I would have passed on getting this kit until I saw the wonderful stamps and larger sizes of the dsp that come with the kit.

Oh, and don’t forget to check out the weekly deals. They are here.

I did create a digital card for Terrific Tuesday but with all the other pictures I have in this post, I will just give you a snippet of the card. To see the whole card and the supplies and technique I used for it, you will have to come back on Oct 31. Cackle, cackle, hehehe!

New Clearance Rack Items

Clearance Rack

Stampin’ Up! just added 50 new items to the Clearance Rack. The items found in the clearance rack are retired items and are only there as long as the supply lasts. Most are greatly reduced in price so you can reap great savings. Clearance Rack items can be added to customer orders, online orders, and workshop orders. You need to order quickly as some of them sell out in short order! They don’t always notify us when they add new things so check the clearance rack often. Remember, you can shop online at my demonstrator online store 24/7. I appreciate your business!

It’s the Last Day of August!

This means this is the last day to order My Paper Pumpkin and get the special offer of only $10 for the first two months. After August 31, the price will be the usual $19.95 per month.

What is My Paper Pumpkin you might be asking? It is a monthly subscription plan offered by Stampin’ Up! where each month you get in the mail a lovely box containing supplies and tutorial with pictures to make an exclusive project. There are usually enough supplies to make several of the project. The supplies include exclusive stamps, paper, embellishments and inks. All you need to supply is adhesive and the clear block which comes with your introductory kit. If you are one of these people

  • someone who is just starting out with stamping and doesn’t have many supplies
  • are on a tight budget but still want to get into stamping
  • love receiving a surprise in the mail each month
  • are short on crafting time…each project takes only about 30 minutes to complete

then you would love subscribing to My Paper Pumpkin. You are notified each month when your debit or credit card is charged. You can stop the subscription by notifying My Paper Pumpkin by the 10th of the month and you can skip a shipment the same way. Find out more information and subscribe here. Be sure to name me, Sue Erickson, as your demonstrator. Thanks so much.

My Paper Pumpkin Now On Sale!

What is My Paper Pumpkin you ask? It is a monthly subscription program Stampin’ Up! is offering. Each month you are sent a new kit complete with all the paper, ink, embellishments, stamps, and step-by-step directions needed to complete up to four projects. Shipping is via Mail Innovations. The regular price of this program is $19.95 per month which is automatically charged to your credit card or debited your bank account but by enrolling by Aug 31, you get the first two month for just $10 a month! If you want to skip a month, you just notify them by the 10th of the month. There is no long-time commitment. You can stop the program at any time. This is great for:

  • An introduction to stamping as the projects are quick and easy to do.
  • Those who don’t have a lot of crafting time as it takes only about 1/2 hour to complete the projects.
  • Seasoned stampers who love getting surprises in the mail and exclusive stamps.
  • Gifting a granddaughter or niece who loves to create things.

Check out this information and then sign up before August 31. Be sure to list me as your demonstrator and use the promo code PUMPKINDEAL. Thanks!

Gingham Garden Happy Birthday

Gingham Garden Digital DSP

This week’s digital downloads for MDS are all so great that I had a hard time choosing which to order. Did you see them? Check them out here. I was delighted that the Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper is now available in digital form for us digi girls. The great thing about digital dsp is that you will have an unlimited supply of your favorite designs. And how about the wonderful About to Bloom August Kit that coordinates with the FREE August wallpaper. There are so many gorgeous flowers in that kit!

This card was quickly created with the Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper pattern 10, the 1.25 square punch stretched to 4.805 inches wide and 3.598 inches high, and the Birthday Candles stamp brush set which is also a new download this week. The greeting is from the Little Milestone Birthdays Greeting Cards Template Set. I used the coloring tool on the birthday candles to color the flames a different color than the candles.

Supplies:

MDS software digital download (130646), MDS software disc (130647), or 30-day Free Trial of MDS (130910)

Stamps – Birthday Candles (134921), Little Milestones Birthdays Greeting Cards Template Set (129890)

Paper – Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper (134853)

So Sorry SUDSOL convention swap

So Sorry and Best of Flowers card

Over the next few days I will be sharing some of the swap cards I received at the Stampin’ Up! convention. I participated in one organized swap and swapped out 75 other card fronts I had made for general swapping. This card is the one I  made for the organized swap. I love hydrangeas and was excited to get back the hydrangea stamp that retired a couple of years ago as part of the Best of Flowers stamp set. The smaller size makes it just right for this card.

I used markers to color the image directly on the stamp set then remoistened the ink by ‘huffing’ on the stamp before stamping it on the card stock. I love the Elegant Butterfly and the Bitty Butterfly punches and punching them out from the Champagne Glimmer paper adds a special touch of sparkle to this card.

Another hint I have for you is to stamp your greeting on an angle like I did in the lower corner. That way, you don’t have to worry about getting the stamp straight with the edges of the card. Stamping the greeting on an angle really speeds things up when you are stamping 48 of the same card. :o)

Best of Flowers index

Reminder – The single stamps offer expires July 31! This is a great opportunity to buy just one stamp that suits your fancy instead of having to buy a whole set just for the one stamp you like. Check them out here, then order them while you can still get them! To order the supplies used in this project, visit my online store or click on the linked product names. Thank you for ordering. :o)

Supplies:

Stamps – So Sorry (132585-w, 126527-c), Best of Flowers (133342)

If you are a card-maker and not a scrapbooker, you may wonder why you would need 12 x 12″ designer series papers. Well, I used to wonder that too, but I find I use designer series papers on my cards all the time. I have discovered that using pieces of designer series paper can save me time in creating cards. For example, I needed to quickly make a birthday card for our great-granddaughter this morning before heading out to her birthday party. I chose a Very Vanilla card base and a piece of the polka-dotted Afternoon TPicnic Designer Series Paper that was cut 4″ x 5 1/4″. I layered the designer series paper on the card front then stamped the greeting on a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock with Coastal Cabana ink. I used one of the new Chalk Talk Framelits to cut out the greeting and mounted it on the card. Butterflies punched from Silver Glimmer paper were the final touch. Here is the end result. What took the most time was getting out my supplies from all the different places I have them in our travel trailer and putting them back. The card is a little bent because I took the picture after our great-granddaughter opened it. :o)

Delightful Dozen Birthday Card

This special of buying 3 packages and getting one free only lasts the month of July. There is no limit to the number you can buy as long as you buy in multiples of 3. Buy 6 and get 2 free packages. If you want to get four of the same designer series paper, order a quantity of 3 and then add your free one as a second item. Now go to my online store and start shopping! :o)

Delightful Dozen stamp set (122652-c, 128457-w)

July Best of 25 – Best of Shelley

Best of Shelley

July Best of 25 Collection

I’ll bet you are thinking that I have dropped off the face of the earth. Well, that hasn’t happened but so very much else has! The title of my post on July 17 was The Packing Begins and by the time Ron got home from his trip to Anchorage on the following Friday, I did have my stamp room packed up. The 21st, 22nd, and 23rd were to be packing days for the rest of our things in the school trailer. But our plans always seem to get unplanned wrinkles in them and on Saturday morning Ron was life-flighted to Seattle with heart attack symptoms. After an angiogram, it was determined that he did indeed have a small heart attack. He was released from the hospital on Monday and told we could continue our plans for this trip but he needed to exercise in moderation. We are beginning to learn exactly what moderation looks like and he is doing well but still tires easily.

With Ron out of the picture for packing and leaving Craig, I had all the responsibility to do it all. I had wonderful help from some very good friends who also traveled with me on the ferry to Bellingham as I had two rigs to get down here. We are now settled into our 5th-wheel trailer and I can get back to blogging.

Today I want to share the newest Best of 25 Years stamp set collections. The Best of Shelley collection contains stamps that are favorites of Shelly Gardner, one of the founders and CEO of Stampin’ Up! To order this set, click on the photo above or visit my online store.

Time is running out!

Stampin' Up! Retirement Promotion

The time is running out to purchase those stamps and supplies that are retiring to make room for the new! Since Stampin’ Up! offices will be closed June 1st, they have graciously allowed orders for retiring product to be placed through June 3. Now is the time to snag that stamp set you have been debating about getting. Once it is retired, it will be very difficult to get it. Many of the accessories are also retiring and the supply of many of them has already been depleted. Go check out what is available and order before it is too late! The retiring product can be seen here.

Now, since the Stampin’ Up! offices will be closed June 1, they are allowing us to order from the new catalog beginning May 31. I have my list ready and I’ll be on the computer first thing on Friday May 31! Do you have your list ready? Oh…you don’t know what is in the new catalog because you don’t have one yet? Well, there are two ways to remedy that.

The first way is to join my team of demonstrators. You will be starting your own paper crafting business for only $99.95 and you will get a new catalog along with stamps and supplies of your choosing. If you join by May 30, you will get an additional $30 worth of product to choose! Check out the details here and then sign up. I will be delighted to support you in your new business.

The other way to get the new catalog is by emailing me with your name, phone number and best time to call you. I’d love to have a conversation with you about how I can send you the catalog for free. My email is sue@soggystamper.com.

Oh My Goodness!

I can’t contain my excitement! Stampin’ Up! is offering free shipping April 6-8! Yes…FREE SHIPPING! I am in Haines and can’t hold a physical workshop so I am again offering a virtual workshop. When 3 people place and online order of $50 worth of product each, I will draw one of those names to be a mystery hostess. I will contact the person, find out what hostess benefits they want, and place that order for them. You MUST take advantage of this FREE shipping! The hostess code is 3SWVFAE2. Go to my online store and enter your first item into your shopping bag. Then a box will appear in the lower left corner. Put the hostess code in that box and continue your order as usual. Go order now so you are sure to get your free shipping.
