Merry Christmas Everyone!

O Holy Night-001 copy

Nancy Dawson CASEd this punch art card from Geraldine Andrade and I CASEd it using My Digital Studio. I used a variety of punches and colors to come close to the Nancy'sl card. Since punches in My Digital Studio can be resized, I used that feature to put stars in the sky instead of using circles. You can see Nancy's card here.

I pray that you are having a joyful Christmas with family and friends. Do take time in the midst of all the festivities to reflect on our greatest gift of all, God's Son, Jesus!

Until next time…blessings,

Terrific Tuesday

Mocha Morning-001 copy

My Digital Studio (118108), Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper (129008), Hugs and Kisses Punch (129014), Antique Brads Pack (122164), font Kokonor size 20

Yesterday was a terrific Tuesday in several ways. My husband has been suffering from severe back pain from spinal stenosis for quite some time. Yesterday he had surgery to fix this. The surgery went well and the pain in his hips and legs is gone! This is a wonderful Christmas present for both of us as I have stressed over how much he hurt but wouldn't take anything for the pain. He has a little pain from the incision site but it is nothing like what he has been experiencing over the last year.

While I sat in the waiting room and sat with him in his room after the surgery, I got some serious knitting done on a Christmas present for one of our great-granddaughters. That was also terrific since she is visiting our daughter where we are also visiting. Now I won't have to knit surreptiously within her eyesight.

Finally, yesterday was a terrific Tuesday because Stampin' Up! released four wonderful downloads. Click here to see them and order the ones you know you gotta have. :o) I used the wonderful Mocha Morning designer series paper – 3 to fill a punch I created from the Medallion background stamp. I also used the Hugs punch which is one of the new downloads.

Here is a tip for you: if you can't find a particular punch or stamp set or you want to know what specific items like snowflakes have been downloaded, use the search feature in the buttons along the top tool bar.

I could not find the Hugs and Kisses punches in My Digital Studio yesterday after repeatedly installing them. I knew they were on my computer because the 'inspector' feature of a Mac could find them and the path showed that they were in My Digital Studio under Labels and Tags. They just wouldn't appear there. Finally, this morning, I got the brilliant idea of using the search feature of the 'add punch' button on the top tool bar. It turns out that those two punches got installed into a separate file under Labels and Tags. Now that file folder shows up if I double click on Labels and Tags in the browse button on the Resource Palette.

I hope everyone has safe travels over this holiday season and that you are able to enjoy them with family and friends. Come back tomorrow to see the Happy Hanukkah card I have created for my Jewish friends.

Until next time…blessings,

My Digital Studio Monday – Merry Christmas!

MDS Monday 12-19-11-001
Welcome to My Digital Craft Corner this Monday before Christmas. Have you finished all your cards and have them in the mail? I haven't even begun to make my hands-on cards much less get them mailed! Therefore, this digital card will be the way I share Christmas greetings this year.

Did you know that you can fill a punch with designer series paper even when there is a large image on the paper? I filled a square punch stretched to a rectangle with the pattern 10 of the Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper. This paper has a large image in the upper left-hand corner of the paper. All I had to do to get it into my punch was to first fill the punch with the paper. All I could see was stripes at the time. Then I double clicked on the punch and moved the paper around to get the corner in the punch. The image was too big to fit so I used the negative magnifying glass to shrink the image to the desired size.

Supplies:
My Digital Studio (118108)
Holly Berry Boquet Designer Series Paper – pattern 10 (part of Holly Berry Bouquet Digital Kit (127773)
Perfect Label Punch (127340)
Bells and Boughs Stamp Brush Set from Deck the Halls Photocard Digital Kit (122176)
Basic Pearls and Rhinestones (124330)
Cherry Cobbler grosgrain ribbon knot from 1/4" Ribbon Knot in Basic Colors digital download(118856)

If you are in need of any of these supplies or even other downloads, you can either click on the item name or visit my online store. My store is open 24/7. While you are there be sure to check out the Clearance Rack Blitz going on right now. You can get deep discounts but only while quantities last!

Thanks for coming by to visit today. Do come back tomorrow to check out the new downloads.

Until next time…blessings,

My Digital Studio Monday – Here’s to Stripes

Baby Katherine-001 copy
Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), Candy Cane Lane Photocard Digital Kit (122177), Perfect Label Punch (127340), Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon (118851), Basic Pearls and Rhinestones (124330)

Welcome to My Digital Craft Corner this Monday! Our mission as a design team of Utah Divas International was to use either stripes or polka dots in our creations. I have had this picture of our grandson and his new baby daughter for a while and have wanted to make a scrapbook page for it. I choose this striped designer series paper from the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series paper for the background of this page to coordinate with baby Katherine's clothing. The Candy Cane Lane paper was from last year's Holiday Mini catalog but with My Digital Studio it is still available by purchasing the Candy Cane Lane Photocard Digital Kit. Visit my online store to purchase any of the supplies you need to create this scrapbook page or you can click on the item names to be taken to that item in my online store.

Thanks for coming to visit today. I hope you will come back tomorrow to see what wonderful downloads Stampin' Up! releases.

Until then…blessings,

My Digital Studio Monday – Snowflakes

Snowflake sb page-001 copy
My Digital Studio (118108), Circle Punch from Punch Shapes (118853), Snowflake Trimmings Punch (128882), Snowflake Punch from Punch Shapes

Oh, how I wish I were seeing snowflakes again!!! The winds and rains have washed away all vestiges of last week's snow. We are back to the dark, gloomy, rainy days of December. So I guess I will have to create my own snowflakes. I was delighted when Stampin' Up! released the Snowflake Trimmings Punch download and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them. Originally I filled the whole snowflake with the photo but it was too busy and you couldn't really get a sense of the photo. So I filled a circle punch with the photos and put them in the center of the snowflake. Now I have a different idea of filling the snowflake with a scenic photo. I'll share that with you later.

As always, you can purchase the supplies for this scrapbook page by clicking on the names of the items or visiting my online store by clicking here. If you don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I'd love to be your demonstrator,

I love gently falling snow. Snow covers all the ground with a glistening blanket of white softening harsh edges and hiding all kinds of junk. To me, Christmas and snow go together so I was really in the Christmas spirit last week.

Now it is your turn to share. What puts you in the Christmas or Chanukah spirit the quickest? Share your response by posting below.

Until tomorrow…Blessings and Happy Holidays,

Sue

My Digital Studio Monday – CASE

MDS Monday 11-28-11-001 copy

Welcome to My Digital Craft Corner this very windy, stormy Monday here in SE Alaska. We had lovely snow this past week and it really put me in the Christmas spirit. Now the winds and the rains have washed the snow away and we are back to the dark and gloomy days of SE Alaska winters.

What does CASE stand for, you may ask? It stands for Copy And Steal Everything on a card or scrapbook page. It is a form of high honor in the stamping world. Today the design team for My Digital Studio Monday on Utah Divas International was to copy a sample from the Stampin' Up! 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog or the Holiday mini catalog.

The card I CASEd is on page 43 of the big catalog. It is a long, skinny card. That shape is not an option on My Digital Studio at this time so this is what I did. I created my card using the portrait trifold card like this:

MDS Monday 11-28-11-001

Then I exported it as a jpeg to my computer. Next I opened the file in Photoshop Elements 9, rotated the card and cropped it to just the top third of the card. If you wanted to actually print out and send this card, move the composition to the middle third of the card. You would have to block out the top portion of the Top Note Shape and stamped image by covering it with a rectangle punch filled with Cherry Cobbler color to match the background.

Supplies:

My Digital Studio (118108)

Deck the Halls Photocard Digital Kit (122176) – Bells and Boughs Stamp Brush Set

Top Note Shape Digital Download (124414)

Crochet Trim Ribbon Pack (122158)

Thanks for coming to visit me in My Digital Craft Corner today. I hope you enjoy this card. Do come back tomorrow to see what the newest downloads are. If you need any of the downloads used to create this card, just click on the individual downloads or click here to enter my online store.

Finally, there are just 3 days left to take advantage of Stampin' Up!'s Online Extravaganza! Click here to see all the wonderful things that are on sale! Be sure to check out the digital items and check out the great deal on My Digital Studio Express! Purchase My Digital Studio Express before November 30 and get $40 FREE downloads! Don't wait! Place your order now, download the program, and you could have your instant stamp room in your computer this morning! Are you excited yet? Can you tell I am?

Happy Thanksgiving Day!

Happy Thanksgiving-001Supplies:My Digital Studio (118108), Grateful Heart Thanksgiving Ensemble (127620), Hip and Handsome Overlays – 6 (125753) with opacity set at 30%, Hand-Penned Holidays stamp brush set (127612), Perfect Label Punch (127340) filled with Grateful Heart Thanksgiving dsp 1-07, Antique Brads Pack (122164)

Before starting my stint in the kitchen cooking the turkey and all the trimmings for dinner, I wanted to take time to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving Day. I hope you have a wonderful time with family and friends and that your travels may be safe ones. I am excited because we have snow for Thanksgiving! It is unusual to get snow here in SE Alaska by Thanksgiving. We usually don't even have snow at Christmas. This is not good for all those who were trying to fly to the lower 48 for the holiday but it is great for me and kids here. They will have a long weekend to enjoy sledding.

I am grateful for all you, my faithful readers and customers. I also want to give thanks to God for my loving family, the comforts of home, my good friends, and all the blessings He has so freely given me. I invite you to leave a comment as to what you are expecially thankful for this year.

Until next time…blessings,

Sue

My Digital Studio Monday – Happy Thanksgiving!

Give Thanks-001

Our mission today was to share our turkeys. I took that to mean to create a turkey, not to share a project that turned out poorly or a 'turkey'. I used a variety of punches to bring this turkey to life and added one of the leaf vein stamps from the Build a Blossom stamp brush set to each feather. I colored the stamp with the same color of the feather using the color picker feature and added the drop shadow for a little bit of dimension.

Supplies:
My Digital Studio (118108) or My Digital Studio Express (124483)
Build a Blossom Stamp Brush Set (124019)
Grateful Heart Thanksgiving Ensemble – pumpkin punch (127620)
Petite Pennants Punch (127352)
Blossom Petal Punch (124018)
Modern Label Punch and oval punch from Punch Shapes download (118853)
Fun Flowers Shapes
-3 punch (124453)
Cajun Craze Stripe Designer Series Paper – part of 2010 New Color Patterns free upgrade

I love the way My Digital Studio allows you to change the size and shape of punches and to resize stamps to fit the creative ideas I have. If you haven't given My Digital Studio a try yet, don't wait any longer. Today begins Stampin' Up!'s Online Extravaganza which will run through Nov 30th. Each day will have some spectacular specials, one of which is $40 worth of free downloads when you purchase My Digital Studio Express. So visit my online store daily to see what the specials are each day, then place your order so you don't miss out.

Thanks for coming by to visit today! Do come back here to My Digital Craft Corner tomorrow to check out the new digital downloads.

Until the next time…Happy Thanksgiving and blessings,
