It is almost the end of January and I have a question for you. Have you taken the time to scrap your Christmas photos? Our design team assignment for Utah Divas MDS Monday was to create a scrapbook page with our Christmas photos. I have to be honest…these are the only pictures that I have put on a page…LOL! On this page I used Tree Trimmings and Torn Edges stamp brush sets and tried to add a video hot spot but it doesn't work. I'll have to study how to do that a little more. It may be that I saved the photo as a jpeg thus cancelling the hot spot. To order the supplies used on this page, simply click on the item names or click here to enter my online store.

Welcome to My Digital Craft Corner on this yucky January day. Our weather here can't decide to rain or snow so we have both and it is so slushy. But…stamping doesn't depend on the weather so I stayed warm and cozy while I created this card for you. Valentine's day is drawing close (self…it's drawing close so get those valentines made and in the mail this year!) so I have a Valentine for you to jump start your mojo. I am a traditional color person when it comes to holidays but these soft, non-traditional colors are a really quite delightful change for me. I used the designer series paper and embellishments from the Hearts and Kisses Photocard Template Digital Download for this card. I used the drop shadow and color picker functions to create the burnished color around the hearts and to 'sponge' color around the edge of the Full Heart Punch within the large heart.

The cool thing about My Digital Studio is that you can experiment with technique and if you don't like it, you can hit the 'back' button and try again. Welcome to My Digital Craft Corner this terrific Tuesday! I love Tuesdays because Stampin' Up! offers new digital downloads. This week's offerings are so timely. The Occasions Mini Catalog just became active January 4 and we are already able to download digital files for so many of the new things in the catalog. I am so excited by today's terrific downloads! I have been debating on purchasing the Tea Shoppe stamp set in the new Occasions mini catalog because I am seeing so many beautiful cards created with this stamp. Then, this morning I check out the new downloads from Stampin' Up! and,,, lo and behold…this is one of the downloads! Not only that, but there is also the Twitterpated Kit! Wow! I love those papers, the pleated ribbon and the buttons and now I have them in digital form! I can print out my favorite designs of the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper to my heart's delight. Welcome to The Soggy Stamper this first Monday of 2012. I wish you and your family the best in 2012! I created this New Year's card just for you, my faithful readers. Can you guess how I created the sunrise and pink snowfields on the mountains at the bottom of the card? This is a view that we often see here in SE Alaska, especially up in Haines where we lived for 8 years prior to moving to Craig. Our livingroom windows looked across Lynn Canal to exactly the same view as is in this card.

I happily stumbled onto this as I was playing with the Hand torn stamp of the Torn Edges Stamp Brush Set. I changed the drop shadow to Pink Passion and increased the blur to full and opacity to 100%. The actual stamp is Night of Navy like the background. I'm not sure why the background is not quite as dark as the torn edges stamp but it works well for me. The falling stars are my attempt to create a fireworks display for the new year.

I love the effects I can get with My Digital Studio! If you are ready to give it a try, there are two options for you…no…there are three options. First you can purchase the complete software on a DVD by clicking here. Second, you can order My Digital Studio Express. This software is a download. It contains all the necessary programs to run My Digital Studio but has less digital content in the way of stamps, papers, and embellishments. Those things can be upgraded at a later time if you desire. You still get plenty to start creating digitally with the My Digital Studio Express.The third option works if you already have image editing software that supports jpeg or png extensions and multiple layers. Then you can just download individual files you like and use them with your other software. You can purchase these files here in my Stampin' Up! online store.
