My Digital Studio Monday – Summer Smooches Birthday Card

MDS Monday 4-23-12-001 copy
Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), My Digital Studio Express (124483), or FREE 30-day trial of My Digital Studio Express (129600), Labels Collection Punch -2 (129336), Summer Smoockes Designer Series Paper part of Summer Smooches Kit (129601), 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon (127350), Bring on the Cake stamp brush set (124015)

Happy Monday morning! To get your Monday off to a cheerful start, I have created this great Birthday card using the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper that is currently being promoted as a sneak peek of something in the upcoming 2012-2013 catalog. You have only until the end of the month to order items from this suite of products. If you don't order now, you will have to wait until June 1 to order them. Click here to see my earlier post showing what items are available in this sneak peek.

Our assignment for today was to use numerous layers. Can you tell how many I used? Post your answer in a comment. If you have the correct answer, your name will be put into a drawing for a packet of 5 hybrid cards made with this design. The drawing will take place a week from tomorrow and the winner will be announced on the next My Digital Studio Monday post.

Thanks for coming to visit today. Don't forget to enter the contest and to come back tomorrow to see the new downloads.

Until next time…blessings,

Sue

Terrific Wednesday – Presto Patterns Overlays

New overlay-001_edited-1
Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), My Digital Studio Express (124483) or FREE 30-day trial of My Digital Studio Express (129600), Downtown Grunge Designer Series Paper – 4 from Downtown Photobook Designer Template (126056), Presto Patterns Overlays stamp brush set (122142), Thoughts and Prayers stamp brush set included in the full My Digital Studio software, (Scallop Dots Ribbon (127350)

Did you check out the new downloads yesterday? If you missed them, you can check them out and then order them here. They are shown on the right side of my store front. Click on each image to see a larger photo of the download and a great description. I ordered the Presto Patterns Overlays because I love the floral frame included with this download. Here is what you get with this download for only $7.95:

Presto Patterns Overlays
The card at the top of this post was so quick to make the floral frame overlay. I added Marina Mist cardstock for the background. Then I enlarged the square punch to leave just a border of Marina Mist and filled the punch with Downtown Grunge designer series paper – 4. (I love that wrinkled craft paper look!) I then applied the overlay and resized it to about a 3.6" width and used Early Espresso color. I added the sentiment from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp brush set and the scallop dotted ribbon in Marina Mist to finish off the card.

To order any of the supplies you need to create this card for yourself, just click on the item names in the supply list or click here to enter my online store.

Thanks for coming by to visit today. Take time to enjoy a virtual cup of tea or coffee and browse my site.

Until next time…blessings,

My Digital Studio Monday – Forever Young

MDS Monday 4-16-12-001

Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), Forever Young stamp brush set (123145), Bring on the Cake stamp brush set (124015), Labels Collection Punch (129336), Scallop Dots Ribbon (127350)

Welcome to The Soggy Stamper here in SE Alaska. Our design team assignment over on Utah Divas International was to create using Always Artichoke, Lucky Limeade and Basic Black. I took the liberties of adding Whisper White to the color scheme. I started with the idea of having just one Labels Collection punch filled with Lucky Limeade. Then I remembered that two are better than one so I layered a smaller black one over the Lucky Limeade one. That reminded me of a cameo so I stamped the girl swinging in the tree from the Forever Young stamp brush set in Whisper White on the black label. The image is very large so you need to shrink it down a lot to make it fit. The Happy Birthday is from the Bring on the Cake stamp brush set and I typed the bottom greeting using Segoe Script 20 pt. To order the supplies you need to create this card, either click on the item name or click here to visit my online store.

Thanks for stopping by to visit today. If you like this card, feel free to share this link soggystamper.com/2012/04/my-digital-studio-monday-forever-young-2 with your friends and pin it to your Pinterest board. Please give me the credit for the card though. Tomorrow will be a great day with new digital downloads, so come back to visit tomorrow and see what I have for you.

Until next time…blessings,

Terrific Tuesday – Hexagonal Digital Punch

Brittney-001

Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), Hexagon Punch (130924), Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper -2 (129008), Merry Medallion Punch from Merry Medallion Photocard Template (127569)

Welcome to My Digital Craft Corner's Terrific Tuesday. You never know what will spark your creativity. When I saw the Hexagon Punch in today's new downloads, I was totally underwhelmed with it and wasn't going to purchase that download. Then I read Kimberly Morris's comment on the LateNightStampersDemoOnly group about the possibilities of the punch and filling it with all our wonderful designer series papers…hmmm! So here is the result of that comment for me. I definitely had no clue this morning that I'd end up with this wonderful scrapbook page of my oldest granddaughter so suddenly grownup!

Have you had a similar experience where a project just took over its own creation? If so, I'd love to hear your story. Please post it in the comments. Click here to check out and purchase the new downloads released today.

Until next time…blessings,

My Digital Studio Monday – Easter Blossoms

MDS Monday 4-9-12-001I hope you all had a wonderful Easter yesterday. The theme for this Monday's post was Easter cards. I used the Easter Blossoms stamp brush set and Vintage Overlays to create this card. I also wanted white accents so decided to use the Paper Daisies embellishment. I have had them for a long time but this is the first time I have used them. To order the downloads I have used, just click on the item names or click here to visit my online store.

Thanks for coming to visit today. Do come back tomorrow to see what I do with some new downloads.

Until next time…blessings,

My Digital Studio Monday – Man’s Best Friend

MDS Monday 4-2-12-001

Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), Man's Best Friend stamp brush set (comes on the My Digital Studio software CD), New Heights Kit digital download (129898), Pumpkin Patch stamp brush set (118122), oval punch from Punch Shapes digital download (118853)

The theme for today for the Utah Divas International design team was to create a humorous card. I lack any really funny stamp brush sets so decided to use the dogs from the Man's Best Friend stamp brush set. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you probably have gathered that we have a couple of mini dachshunds that are our furry babies and I love dogs. They are truly best friends! I used the oval punch for the hills. The clouds are from Man's Best Friend and the New Heights Kit. The grass is from the Pumpkin Patch stamp brush set.

These little dogs always make me smile. I hope they bring a smile to your face too! To order the downloads I used for this card just click on the download name or visit my online store here. I'm open 24/7. If you haven't already taken me up on the 30 FREE trial of My Digital Studio Express, do so today. I have lots of experience to give you the help you need to get you started and to grow in your digital crafting skills.

Until tomorrow…blessings,

Terrific Tuesday – Get It Done Kit

Easter Card-001

Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), Everything Easter Ensemble (129363), Get It Done Kit (129924), Taffeta Trimmings (129603), Easter Blossoms Stamp Brush Set (124436)

Welcome to Terrific Tuesday! I especially love two of the new downloads today. First, I am a sucker for punches. Since Get It Done has three punches included in the kit, that was a must have for me. I used one of the punches to highlight the focal image. The second download I purchased is Taffeta Trimmings. After all these years of futzing because my bows don't come out perfect, I am finally validated with my less-than-perfect bows. Stampin' Up! has actually released a digital download of skewed bows! Included in this download is the pleated/looped ribbon look which we have had to work at achieving. Now it is done for us with the taffeta ribbon. Thank you, Stampin' Up! creative staff! I am still having lots of fun with the Everything Easter Ensemble. There are so many creative options available with that download. I hope you don't get bored seeing it in many different forms. At the time of writing this post, Stampin' Up! hasn't updated the new downloads on my online store entry page nor on mydigitalstudio.net so here is a link to the pdf I downloaded this morning. Download MDS_Downloads_-_Mar_20 Check out the other downloads available today. The rest of them are equally great! Jot down the item numbers of the ones you want and then visit my online store here to order them. You can click on the linked item names of the products I used to create the card to be taken directly to those items in my store as well. I do appreciate your business.

Thanks for coming to visit My Digital Craft Corner this first day of Spring. May the weather be in sinc with the official first day of spring where you live. 🙂

Until next time…blessings,
