Happy Monday morning! To get your Monday off to a cheerful start, I have created this great Birthday card using the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper that is currently being promoted as a sneak peek of something in the upcoming 2012-2013 catalog. You have only until the end of the month to order items from this suite of products. If you don't order now, you will have to wait until June 1 to order them. Our assignment for today was to use numerous layers. Can you tell how many I used? Post your answer in a comment. If you have the correct answer, your name will be put into a drawing for a packet of 5 hybrid cards made with this design. Did you check out the new downloads yesterday? If you missed them, you can check them out and then order them here. They are shown on the right side of my store front. Click on each image to see a larger photo of the download and a great description. I ordered the Presto Patterns Overlays because I love the floral frame included with this download. Here is what you get with this download for only $7.95:

The card at the top of this post was so quick to make the floral frame overlay. I added Marina Mist cardstock for the background. Then I enlarged the square punch to leave just a border of Marina Mist and filled the punch with Downtown Grunge designer series paper – 4. (I love that wrinkled craft paper look!) I then applied the overlay and resized it to about a 3.6" width and used Early Espresso color. I added the sentiment from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp brush set and the scallop dotted ribbon in Marina Mist to finish off the card.

Welcome to My Digital Craft Corner's Terrific Tuesday. You never know what will spark your creativity. When I saw the Hexagon Punch in today's new downloads, I was totally underwhelmed with it and wasn't going to purchase that download. Then I read Kimberly Morris's comment on the LateNightStampersDemoOnly group about the possibilities of the punch and filling it with all our wonderful designer series papers…hmmm! So here is the result of that comment for me. I definitely had no clue this morning that I'd end up with this wonderful scrapbook page of my oldest granddaughter so suddenly grownup!

Welcome to Terrific Tuesday! I especially love two of the new downloads today. First, I am a sucker for punches. Since Get It Done has three punches included in the kit, that was a must have for me. I used one of the punches to highlight the focal image. The second download I purchased is Taffeta Trimmings. After all these years of futzing because my bows don't come out perfect, I am finally validated with my less-than-perfect bows. Stampin' Up! has actually released a digital download of skewed bows! Included in this download is the pleated/looped ribbon look which we have had to work at achieving. Now it is done for us with the taffeta ribbon. Thank you, Stampin' Up! creative staff! I am still having lots of fun with the Everything Easter Ensemble. There are so many creative options available with that download. I hope you don't get bored seeing it in many different forms. Our mission, should we choose to accept it, this Monday was to create using flowers and butterflies. Since Spring is almost here but Winter tenaciously hangs on, this card will bring a 'spring' to your step! I used Certainly Celery textured cardstock for the background. For added interest, I added Vintage Overlays Texture – 5. I used the Sending Sprintime Smiles greeting from the Easter Blossom stamp brush set placed on a Very Vanilla Labels Collection 2 label. Then I surrounded it with various flower punches filled with Twitterpated Designer Series Papers.
