My Digital Studio Monday – Wonderful Whimsies

MDS Monday 7-16-12-001 copy
Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), My Digital Studio Express (124483), or 30-day Free trial of My Digital Studio Express (129600); Wonderful Whimsies Designer Series Paper (130968); Elementary Elegance Stamp Brush Set, Decorative Label Punch (123951); More Mustard Brads (118847)

Welcome to My Digital Studio Monday. If you are coming here from a link on the Utah Divas International blog, click here for the scrapbook page on today's post.I actually posted that page last Thursday but accidentally sent it in for My Digital Studio Monday.

On this card I used the beautiful Wonderful Whimsies Designer Series Paper which was one of the new downloads available last Tuesday. I love the colors and softness of the designs. I used my favorite Decorative Label Punch to create the line between the two designs of paper. I apologize for not knowing how I got the Elementary Elegance Stamp Brush Set. It isn't in the online catalog and I suspect it came along with one of the designer kits. When I find out, I will let you all know.

Tomorrow I travel the last leg of my trip to Salt Lake City and convention. My first class at convention is Wednesday night and it is a class using My Digital Studio. I will be sure to share some of the things I learn with you so stay tuned.

Until next time…blessings,
Sue

P.S. I just found out that the Elementary Elegance Stamp Brush Set is from a Sale-a-bration DVD and is therefore retired. This is a good reason to get those DVDs when you can.

My Digital Studio Monday – Happy 4th of July

MDS Monday - 7-2-12-001

Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), My Digital Studio Express (124483), or 30-day Free Trial of My Digital Studio Express (129600), Flag Punch (125785), Circle and Star Punch part of Punch Shapes (118853) – also comes with My Digital Studio DVD, Very Vanilla Patterns – 1 designer series paper (124451), Nautical Expedition Designer Series Digital Paper (124111), Dotted Stripe Digital Stripe Designer Series Paper (118857), Grid Digital Designer Series Paper (118858)

Welcome to The Soggy Stamper this Monday morning. Can you believe one whole month of summer vacation is over. Wow does time fly! We leave Craig tomorrow to begin our month vacation visiting our daughters in the Seattle area, Ron's brother in Chubbuck, Idaho, and of course…the Stampin' Up! convention!

My theme today is the 4th of July so I created this card for you. It also meets a challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary. I haven't used the flag punch much but am seeing more and more samples using it. I filled the punches with different designer series paper. I used the Very Vanilla Patterns designer series paper in the circle punch to make the white circle less stark. Unfortunately, it is so subtle that you have to look really hard to see the stripes. The greeting is generated using the Felt Marker font.

May you have a happy and safe celebration of the birth of our nation. Let's each do our part to preserve our freedom and give thanks to our military personnel who often sacrifice their safety and even their lives that we may enjoy freedoms that in some countries is barely a dream.

Thanks for coming by to visit today. If you have created a 4th of July card, email it to me and I'll be happy to share it on my blog.

Until next time…blessings,

Digital CASE of traditional card

CCMC207 Bring on the Cake BD card for Jane-001
Connie's traditional card                  My digital CASE

I love a challenge so I challenged myself to digitally CASE this cheerful card that Connie Babbert created. It was a lot of fun to do this. I used a lot of resized squares for masking and played with the drop shadows of the squares to create the pinwheel. Did you know that when you turn a punch but want the dsp to stay upright, you just unclick the box that says 'rotate with punch'? That is how I was able to keep the print of the dsp upright when I turned the rectangle punch. I created this digital card for Jane Giggy's birthday. Happy Birthday, Jane.

I used Patio Party Designer Series Paper (127190), Bring on the Cake stamp brush set (124015) and the Eyelet Border Punch (122150) in addition to the square punches to create this card. If you would like to CASE this card as well, just click on the linked names of the supplies to go to my online store to order them. Don't forget to try the 30-day FREE trial of My Digital Studio Express if you don't already have My Digital Studio. Just click here to order it from me. You get the ability to immediately download the program which contains all the essential software to run the program plus a few content files to get you started. You can then order additional downloads of files you would like to use in your designing. Here is the link to that section of my online store. In addition, you get me as your personal instructor, so order it today!

So Beachy-001 copy

Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), My Digital Studio Express (124483), or the 30-day Free Trial of My Digital Studio Express (129600), By the Seashore Stamp Brush Set (130856), Boardwalk Stamp Brush Set (129598), Downtown Grunge Designer Series Paper- 4 from Downtown Grunge Photobook Template (126056)

Welcome to My Digital Craft Corner this Tuesday. Yep…Tuesdays are Terrific because we get new downloads to purchase almost every Tuesday. Yes…I am as addicted to collecting digital downloads as I am to buying new stamp sets. The difference is that I have a ways to go before I start having lack of storage space with the digital versions.

As usual, the new downloads are great! Click here to see them and then order the ones you want from my online store. I chose the By the Seashore stamp brush set because it is one the great stamp sets in the new traditional catalog. It has a wonderful collection of shells. The foot prints are from the Boardwalk stamp brush set. I love these pictures of our oldest granddaughter and her friends at the beach. Hope you like the page.

Until next time…blessings,
Sue

My Digital Studio – Terrific Tuesday

Watering Can of Flowers-001 copy

Hey, it's Terrific Tuesday at My Digital Craft Corner and Stampin' Up! has offered us some terrific downloads today. You can see them here and order those you want from me all in one stop. :o) The Soft Blossoms digital download was a hugely popular download and Stampin' Up! has followed this week with Bright Blooms.

A faithful follower of this blog, Dorothy Cordes, took Patty Bennett's idea of filling a heart with all the Soft Blossoms and filled a punch art wagon with them. I decided to take that idea further by filling a punch art watering can with these Bright Blooms. I had to do a lot of masking to get the shapes I wanted but am really pleased with the outcome. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did in designing this card.

Thanks for coming by to visit today. BTW…have you tried My Digital Studio yet? If not, what are you waiting for? You can download the 30-day FREE trial right now and start creating to your heart's desire. If you don't like something you have tried, all you have to do is delete it and try again. There is no wasted paper and no scraps to clean up. It is a win – win situation! Just click here to get started and I will be as close as a click to help you if needed.

Until next time…blessings,
Sue

You’ve Got Mail but there is Postage Due

Postage due-001 copy

Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), My Digital Studio Express (124483), or 30-day FREE trial of My Digital Studio Express (129600), Postage Due Stamp Brush Set (127201),Modern Label Punch and Square Punch – included in Punch Shapes (118853) and in the My Digital Studio software programs, Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon (123957)

I was so surprised to see all the new digital downloads released on June 1st. One of the stamp sets I had debated ordering from the catalog is Postage Due. I love the collage stamp and was delighted to see that we have a digital version of it. The Travel Post stamp is not a solid stamp so the edges of the underlying layers show through. I placed a square punch filled with Summer Starfruit behind the stamp and grouped them together before I rotated and placed the stamp. Problem solved! The background is the beautiful new Midnight Muse color.

Thanks for coming by to visit today. I hope you like the card. Please sign my 'guest book' by leaving a comment so I know you visited.

My Digital Studio Monday – Dachsie Love

Dachsie Love-002

Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), My Digital Studio Express (124483), or  30-day FREE trial of My Digital Studio Express (129600), Get It Done Punch from Get It Done Kit (129924), Cheap Talk  Stamp Brush Set- Heart (118834), Hip and Handsome Overlays Stamp Brush Set – 5 (125753)

Welcome to The Soggy Stamper. Our theme for today was 'pet love'. What an easy theme for me! I love taking pictures of our dachhunds as they are so entertaining. Even when they are sleeping, they entertain us…LOL! I wanted texture to the gumball green background so I added the Hip and Handsome Overlay. However, I wanted it to be subtle so I changed the color to Gumball Green and all you see it the drop shadow.

Did you notice that June 1st we got a lot of new digital downloads along with the new catalog? I wanted to post about it on Saturday but just didn't quite get it done. Come back on Wednesday to se a card featuring the Postage Due stamp brush set. I was debating on order the traditional version of the stamp set and am happy I now have it in the digital form. Click here to see and order all the new downloads from June 1.

Thanks for coming by to visit today. Come again tomorrow to see what new downloads Stampin' Up! has for us.

Terrific Tuesday – Summer Happiness

Sisters-001 copy

Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), My Digital Studio Express (124483), 30-day FREE trial of My Digital Studio (129600), Summer Happiness Kit (130076), Merry Medallion Punch from Merry Medallion Photocard Template (127569)

Welcome to Terrific Tuesday in My Digital Craft Corner. This Tuesday the downloads are exceptional…well…most Tuesdays they are I guess. I love thie Summer Happiness kit and it just happens that this particular designer series paper color matches the color of our great-granddaughter's shirt perfectly. I love the softness and the backlight of the photo. The softness is purely accidental. I took it with my cell phone and guess what…the lens was dirty. Two of the sisters live in Germany and were home visiting in Tacoma, Washington. The third is a step-sister who lives with her mom in Anacortes, Washington. It is a very happy time when all three girls can stay together.

To see all the new downloads for My Digital Studio, what the downloads include, and to place your order for them, just click here to enter my online store. The downloads are on the right-hand side of the page.

My Digital Studio – Terrific Tuesday’s Fifty Nifty Kit

Fifty Nifty card-001

Oh, do I like Tuesdays! This is the day that Stampin' Up! releases new digital downloads for My Digital Studio. I always get up in anticipation of seeing what cool things I can download to use in my digital designing. This week did not disappoint me. Since my husband and I are about to embark on an extended RV trip with our two dachshounds, I just HAD to get the Fifty Nifty Kit! When I saw the thumbnail in the PDF of this week's downloads, I was sorry to see that Alaska and Hawaii were not included in the thumbnail but I bought the download anyway. I was not disappointed! The above card shows a sunset I enjoyed from our kitchen window. To see the rest of the new downloads and to order them, click here and you will be taken to my online store. The new downloads are displayed on the right side of the page.

I'd like to remind you that the retiring digital collection DVDs in the 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog are retiring and are 60% off! They are still available but don't wait to order them any longer as they may sell out at any time. Visit here to see the content in the DVDs then order them here.

My Digital Studio Monday – Apothecary Art

Apothecary Art
Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), My Digital Studio Express (124483), or FREE 30-day trial of My Digital Studio Express (129600), Apothecary Art Stamp Brush Set (125616), Labels Collection Punch (129336), Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch (122151), Square Punch ( included with program), Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper (129008)

Welcome to The Soggy Stamper blog. First off, I want to remind you that today, April 30, is the last day you can items from the Occasions Mini catalog. To be sure you get all you wanted to purchase from this catalog, visit my online store here an place your order. Our mission as the Utah Divas International MDS Monday design team was to CASE a card or sb page from the Occasions Mini catalog. I choose the So Grateful card on pg 25. I hadn't downloaded the digital form of Apothecary Art until tonight when I wanted to CASE this card. The beauty of My Digital Studio is that you can decide you need a particular stamp or embellishment and have it ready to use within minutes! Another beautiful thing is that the only things that ever retire from My Digital Studio are the content DVDs that appear in the catalogs. All the rest don't retire. In fact, the creative team at Stampin' Up! is even bringing to My Digital Studio designer series papers that have been retired from the traditional paper crafting scene. So give this program a try. You will find some of your favorite colors like Almost Amethyst card stock available in My Digital Studio. What do you have to lose with our FREE 30-day trial of My Digital Studio Express? I'm here to help you get started and to give you creative ideas.

My May edition of News from My Digital Craft Corner will be published tomorrow. If you haven't already subscribed to my newsletter, please take time to do so now. Just fill in the box to the right. Hybrid Travel Journal card

We're On the Move-001
Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), Travel Journal Designer Series Paper from Travel Journal Designer Kit (121071), Large Arrow Punch included on My Digital Studio software or from Punch Shapes (118853), Photobox – 11 punch from Check This Out Designer Page Templates (129921), Peach Parfait cardstock (119794)

Since we are selling our Alaskan home and putting everything (almost…not all my stamps for sure!) in storage, I decided we needed to get our long-overdue Christmas letter mailed out. We plan to travel in our 5th wheel trailer for about 9 months before we settle down once again. That is why I think this card is so clever and appropriate! I created this very hybrid card to go with the letter. The Alaskan Mobile Home image is from a stamp I bought maybe 15 years ago. I stamped and colored the image with watercolor crayons. Then I scanned it into my computer and inserted into the Photobox – 11 punch. I used a slightly larger punch colored with Night of Navy as a mat. Then I added the rest of the card. Finally, I printed it out and mounted it on Peach Parfait cardstock.

Next Tuesday is May 1st already! My May edition of News from My Digital Craft Corner will be published on Tuesday. That means you have only a couple of days to subscribe. The process is easy. Just fill in the form on the right. Then be sure to respond to the e-mail you will receive asking you to opt-in. Do it now so you don't forget and miss out on this wonderful edition. I am really excited about the projects I have for you!

Until next time…blessings,

My Digital Studio Monday – Summer Smooches Birthday Card

MDS Monday 4-23-12-001 copy
Supplies: My Digital Studio (118108), My Digital Studio Express (124483), or FREE 30-day trial of My Digital Studio Express (129600), Labels Collection Punch -2 (129336), Summer Smoockes Designer Series Paper part of Summer Smooches Kit (129601), 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon (127350), Bring on the Cake stamp brush set (124015)

Happy Monday morning! To get your Monday off to a cheerful start, I have created this great Birthday card using the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper that is currently being promoted as a sneak peek of something in the upcoming 2012-2013 catalog. You have only until the end of the month to order items from this suite of products. If you don't order now, you will have to wait until June 1 to order them. Click here to see my earlier post showing what items are available in this sneak peek.

Our assignment for today was to use numerous layers. Can you tell how many I used? Post your answer in a comment. If you have the correct answer, your name will be put into a drawing for a packet of 5 hybrid cards made with this design. The drawing will take place a week from tomorrow and the winner will be announced on the next My Digital Studio Monday post.

Thanks for coming to visit today. Don't forget to enter the contest and to come back tomorrow to see the new downloads.

Until next time…blessings,
