Last night was a particularly frustrating night for me but chocolates and creating this card with MDS2 soothed my ruffled feathers very nicely. I used the Sent With Love Kit which was a new download on Tuesday to create this card. The plane is a stamp from this kit along with the designer series papers I used. The splatter stamp comes with the Game Day Photobook Template download. This is going to be my husband's valentine. I plan to print out the card front and mount it on Cherry Cobbler card stock. He has a mustache which I won't let him shave off. Digital kits are such a great bargain! You may not want to use the templates in a digital kit but the designer series papers, embellishments and stamps included in the kits can be used again and again.

I used elements of two digital kits for today's scrapbook page. I used the designer series papers from Day in the Life Kit as the background and to fill a couple of the flag punches.This kit includes a 36-piece stamp brush set, 12 Designer Series Paper patterns, 21 embellishments, and a two-page 8" x 8" designer template.

The splatters I used came from the French Foliage stamp brush set which comes in the Autumn Spice Digital Kit. Unfortunately, this is the only way you can get this lovely stamp brush set. However, another stamp brush set the Day of Gratitude is included as well as the 12 designs of the Autumn Spice Designer Series Paper. You get all of this for only $9.95. I created this card using this stamp brush set and Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper. To cover the seam between the Whisper White  Dotted Scallop Ribbon border and the dsp, I added my favorite Timeless Taffeta Trimmings ribbon. I used the Not Quite Navy selections and recolored them with Baja Breeze.

Love is in the air when you use the Affection Collection Stamp Brush Set. It gives such a romantic and vintage flair to any card you create. I added the ink splatters to this card to build on the antique feel. I was challenging myself to create a more artsy card. Did I succeed? Leave a comment letting me know what you think. It has been at least a week it seems since we have seen anything but rain here in SE Alaska. The 'shine' part of this blog post title…not so much. Therefore, this cheerful card with the darling umbrella is just the medicine I need to cheer me up. I love Spring! It is my favorite season of the year with winter a close second. The colors of spring are my colors.

Before our grandson and his family moved back from Germany, his family went to a Christmas market in Eislingen. Ashley shared these photos on Facebook. I love the colors in the photos. I normally wouldn't use chevrons on my art work but they mimic the awning on the booth perfectly. Our granddaughter-in-law is beautiful and I love this picture of her enjoying her first taste of Gluehwein or hot spiced wine.

This picture is priceless and I just had to scrap it. Nathaniel and his family surprised us by arriving home from Germany on Dec. 26th instead of January 8th lwhen we were led to believe they would be home. Our great-granddaughter who lives with her mother in Anacortes was told she and her mother were going to the airport to pick a package. She was so surprised to find out the 'package' was actually her Daddy and her sisters.

I used the designer series paper from the Holiday Wrap Digital Kit. I love this set of designer papers and felt the 'joy' theme of this particular paper was so appropriate. The digital kit includes punches to fill with designer series paper, print out and create bows. Although the title indicates they are designed for a specific holiday, the punches can be filled with any designer series paper or card stock. You now have a wealth of exclusive bows at your fingertips.It took a little fiddling and adjusting to get the bow to print out double-sided properly but it was worth the effort. I highly recommend you purchase this download!

Tuesday's downloads were really terrific! Check them out here. I was especially excited by the glimmer paper in gold, red, and silver. A fellow demo on one of my yahoo groups had made a Christmas card traditionally with Champagne Glimmer Paper and Whisper White card stock. I love that combination and absolutely HAD to create a similar one digitally. I created the medallion punch from the medallion stamp brush set (118124) when it was a png file using this procedure: mydigitalstudio.net/forum/topics/tutorial-for-creating-punches-from-mds-stamps. Part of the discussion in this post pointed out that you can just copy and paste a svg stamp set into your punches file in MDS2. The medallion stamp set is now a .svg file which will be much easier to do than the way I did it. I checked out the new way using the tree from the Bright Hopes stamp brush set (127764). The card below is the results of my experiment.

It is so easy to convert stamps to punches now as long as they are .svg stamps (the ones that come with MDS2+ and all downloads since the introduction of MDS2). I tried to use the Dasher stamp brush set but it isn't a .svg file.

Welcome to My Digital Craft Corner this day after Thanksgiving. Have you already been out capturing those great Black Friday specials? Then it is time to sit back with a cup of hot cocoa, coffee or tea and browse my projects.

Inspiration comes to me from a lot of sources. Today, I read this quote on www.mydigitalstudio.net and immediately knew I needed to create a piece of frameable wall art for the quote. Since it refers to a present and since Christmas is coming up way faster than I am ready for it, I decided to use this Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper for the background of the project. I used the Get It Done – 2 punch to frame the quote as it looks elegant to match the dsp. I typed the quote with the Apple Chauncery font and size 40. I usually add a slightly larger second punch behind the first one to make a border. This time I noticed that there is an option to add a mat to the punch which saves a lot of fussing! I don't know why I haven't noticed that before now.
