We are here in Salt Lake City for OnStage Live. Michelle Montague, Ruthie Burkey and I have been convention roommates for the last 6 years and it is wonderful to be rooming together once again.

OnStage Live is the Stampin’ Up! event where the new 2016-2017 Annual Catalog is revealed to demonstrators. It is so exciting to get the new catalog in our hands. We spent last night pouring over the catalog noticing all the little details in the stamp sets and wonderful samples in the catalog and are back at it this morning. You will love this catalog!

Another great thing about Stampin’ Up! events like OnStage Live and OnStage Local is meeting the demonstrators you visit with online. I have known some of my online friends for many years and it is so exciting to see them in person at Stampin’ Up! events.

I love owning my own paper-crafting business and being a business woman. I have been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for 14 years and yes I have owned my own business for that long. I still get a thrill when I teach a class or workshop for someone. My paper crafting business as an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is a great gift for myself and can be for you as well. These photos demonstrate why I feel this way. In each photo, people are gathered together to enjoy each other while creating projects that will bring joy to themselves and others. This gives me such pleasure as I bring them together through my business and teach them how to make cards and home decor items to bring smiles to their faces and to the faces of those who receive the gifts and cards. I also love teaching how to preserve memories through scrapbooking. Creating relationships with my customers and teaching them new ideas energizes me and makes my job so much fun.

I have been looking for a couple of years for a way to display these wonderful Thomas Kincade Christmas jingle bells but hadn’t found one yet. Then last night I was working on stamp room organization and came across this card tree that Stampin’ Up! demos were able to buy a few years ago at convention. It is perfect for my ornaments! There were exactly enough hooks for the number of ornaments I have collected. After Christmas I can put the ornaments away and use it again to display cards.

This was one tiny benefit of being a demonstrator. The biggest benefit is owning my own business and being able to control how much I work, how much profit I make, and setting my own hours.
